MyPressXpert was established in 2010. The main aim was to consolidate the partners engineering experiences and build a business based on the combination of expert colour management and process control of printing methods.
When we began the industry had just suffered one of the worst depressions in recorded memory. We saw that many Brands and printers were desperate to cut costs and consolidate how they manufactured their goods.
We realised that one of the greatest problems facing the industry was indeed the communication of colour. The Brand owner would prepare files to a single standard, submit proofs to multiple standards and the Printer would be tasked with reproducing those separations on an unlimited number of different paper types. This not only delivered bad results but it also meant that the Brand owner would spend a great deal of time trying to understand the problem and the Printer would waste time, ink and resources trying to deliver a product that was impossible to print.
We soon realised that the culmination of our expertise, the whole idea of controlling colour and mechanical processes, was the answer. Standardisation of files, processes and the automation of many imaging tasks was something we understood but others did not. All the clients we spoke to had simply had others “take care” of things when the money was good but now they had to figure our better and more economical ways of producing the same products.
The main objective of our business was defined. Help Brand owners – managers design fully automated workflows based on tried and tested scientific processes that deliver better consistency, quality and efficiency.
